Meenakshi Kalyanam 2019

Meenakshi Kalyanam puja and festival celebrations were held at Sri Siva Vishnu Temple on Sunday, April 21st 2019. The union of Lord Siva with Parvati in the form of Meenakshi took place in Madurai on the Chitra Poornima day. This union is celebrated in many Siva temples around the world as Meenakshi Kalyanam. Lord Vishnu, who is the brother of Meenakshi, gave away the bride to Lord Siva. Hence, this festival has an added significance since our temple is dedicated to Siva and Vishnu.
