Board of Trustees’ Chairperson Appeal

The last few weeks have been very exciting at the temple. More and more devotees are returning to the temple every weekend – almost to pre-pandemic attendance levels. Our focus as always is to provide the best devotee experience at our temple. We will be launching a devotee experience survey in the coming weeks where you will have the opportunity to share your firsthand experience and feedback for overall improvement of temple services – to better serve you and your family. Please participate in this survey and provide your candid feedback to help us address shortcomings and take appropriate remedial measures.
With COVID-19 pandemic almost behind us, we are planning to have more in-person cultural programs and educational classes at the temple. Enrollment is currently underway for our Sunday Family Dharma Class, and other classes have resumed as well. For more information, please see page 13 of our April newsletter. Cultural programs will continue having a hybrid of viewing options – some streamed online, on our YouTube and Facebook pages, and others in-person in our auditorium. For more information, please see page 16 of our April newsletter.
I’m also pleased to report that we continue to make progress on various ongoing capital projects, and small-scale improvement projects, which many devotees have contributed generously for. The installation of updated LED lighting throughout the interior of the temple premises is underway and is expected to be complete by the end of April. The design phase of the HVAC improvement project is completed, and we are now soliciting bids from area contractors. We are also anticipating the county building permits in the coming weeks for the Sai Aradhana Center. Additionally, we have seen a recent increase in donations for the granite flooring project. Thank you to all the generous donors who continue to support our temple – through puja sponsorship, personal puja services, as well as straight donations to these efforts and others – Thank you!
This month we will begin monthly Ayyappa Padi Puja and Irumudi Ayyappa Abhisheka and Puja services. As you may know, we recently installed the Panchaloha Kavacham for the 18 Holy Steps. To help maintain the sanctification of the Holy Steps, I invite you to participate in this monthly puja service. For more information, please see page 6 of our Newsletter.
As I mentioned in my March update, the Sri Rama Bhakti Samrajya Mahotsavam is scheduled from August 6th through August 14th at the temple. On the highlights of the program will be a religious discourse by Sri Dushyanth Sridhar over a period of nine days, in the evenings on the Ramayana. He has presented discourses in our Temple several times in the past, and we are looking forward to welcoming him again for this special occasion. More details will be shared in the coming months.
As always, please consider donating to our temple to help with operations, support special projects for the year – including infrastructure improvement projects, staff housing improvement, Priest’s Children Education Fund, among others. Your tax-deductible contribution of any amount will immensely help the temple as we plan forward past the COVID-19 pandemic.
